Public Inquiry - Ground mounted Solar Energy generation system - Land East of Edge Lane, Burnhope

A new date for the Public Inquiry into the appeal by Lightsource SPV206 Limited against Durham County Council's decision to refuse planning permission for the installation of a "solar farm", electrical substation and associated infrastructure on land east of Edge Lane, Burnhope has been set.
The Inquiry will start on Tuesday 10th March, 2026 and be held in Lanchester Community Centre, Newbiggin Lane, starting at 10.00 a.m.
The Inquiry is scheduled to last nine days. Members of the Public may attend the Inquiry, and, at the Inspector's discretion, express their views.
